Fifth Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor Scott Alexander started his training with Golden Knights Karate in 1983. After earning his Master’s in Psychology from Boston College, Scott was asked to create a youth karate program at the Banner School. Over the past 25 years, Scott has successfully balanced his family life with his distinguished career as top-level executive and his commitment to Golden Knights Karate School. He has spent thousands of hours helping students along the path toward the physical mastery of karate’s movements and techniques while modeling the values and principles that are the foundation of the ancient art. As an instructor, speaker, coach and consultant, Scott draws on his experiences in martial arts and business to challenge people and organizations to tap into their values and principles to find the path to their most profound impact.
Billy Saccardi, Chief Instructor
Second degree Black Belt and Instructor Billy Saccardi started studying with Scott Alexander at Golden Knights Karate School when he was 5 years old. He has more than 20 years of karate experience—approximately half of those years at the Black Belt level. A 2013 graduate of Towson University, Billy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education and a Maryland State teaching certificate. Since earning his Black Belt 10 years ago, Billy has assisted Master Instructor Scott Alexander to teach classes, working with students of all ages and ability levels.
Carrie and Stacey, "Wonder Twins", Instructors
First degree black belts Carrie and Stacey Dougher, the "Wonder Twins," have been studying under Master Scott Alexander since the age of 8, now have accumulated over 10 years of martial arts experience each. They are currently attending Towson University full time, returning during winter and summer breaks to attend and help teach classes with Master Scott, and Billy.
Mackensie "Big Mac" Smith
First degree Black Belt and Assistant Instructor Mackensie Smith, "Big Mac," started studying with Scott Alexander at Golden Knights Karate School when she was 6 years old. She has more than 13 years of karate experience—becoming and Assistant Instructor at age 16. She is currently studying materials engineering at University of California Berkeley. Mackensie attends and helps teach classes during winter and summer breaks from college.
